| Oakland Athletics left-hander Scott Kazmir left Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers after the third inning because of left shoulder tightness. |
Kazmir allowed no hits, struck out four and walked three. He threw 47 pitches, including 28 for strikes. He walked three in the second inning but pitched a perfect third.
Kazmir is 2-3 with a 2.93 ERA this season. Last year, he made the American League All-Star team and finished with a 15-9 record and a 3.55 ERA in his first season with the A's.
